Annual Events in the Copper Basin

March/April

Repainting The Blue Line

IGA Parking Lot, Toccoa/ Ocoee Streets, Copperhill/McCaysville
The TriCities unique location along the state line between Georgia & Tennessee gives rise to one of our favorite tourist attractions ... The Blue Line.

Since the state line actually cuts thru town (& a few buildings as well) the Business Association paints & maintains a blue line representing the state line throughout our community so that visitors can see & know where the line runs & be aware of which state a particular business or landmark is located in.
Once or twice a year the TriCities Business Association gets together to repaint & repair the Blue Line so that many more children (& a few of us who are still kids at heart) can enjoy having their picture taken standing with one foot in each state.
